about

Aaron MF Olson's synthesizer interpretations of the songs of José Alfredo Jiménez, as originally performed by José Alfredo and Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán under bandleader/arranger Rubén Fuentes.

The postscript live snippet after the end of "Yo" is a recording of "Trio Los Serranos" -- my grandpa Ernesto Fernandez, his brother Manuel Fernandez, and their brother-in-law Nick Valdez -- drinking beers and playing "Pa' Todo el Año" by José Alfredo Jiménez.

Muchas gracias y buen dia
