After sitting on this somber and haunting piece of music which bares the name of the model of car that was used almost exclusively by police across the nation for years, it seemed fitting to finally release "Krown Vik" as an effort to raise money for BLACK LIVES MATTER and in support of DEFUNDing THE POLICE. All proceeds from the sales of "Krown Vik" and the accompanying demos will be directly donated to Black Lives Matter.
About The Piece:
In early 2016 Aaron M Olson and Jeff Parker collaborated to create a piece of theme music for G. Max Landes' to-be feature film, Krown Vik. The film has since been retitled as The Bronson Gate and shot as a short film (release to come soon); the piece of music called "Krown Vik" retains its original name and remains a part of the short film The Bronson Gate.
We've included the demos as well to show the growth of the piece over time through collaboration, starting with Aaron's original demo from September of 2015, to Jeff's inspiring and tragic middle section, to the final collaborative arrangement and recording from January of 2016.
